Welcome to Surf Proud, where the waves of inclusion and acceptance meet the shores of community and connection.
Surf Proud is a grassroots surf community for women, non-binary, and LGBTQIA+ folks, built on real ocean knowledge, lived experience, and connection. Whether you’re learning the basics or pushing your progression as an intermediate surfer, our experienced coaches are here to support your journey. From surf education to real surf trips, we create a safe and empowering space where everyone can grow their skills, confidence, and love for the sea.
Originally founded by Sez, a dedicated ocean enthusiast and seasoned surf coach with over 15 years of experience, Surf Proud began by offeringi community beach socials and surf lessons to bring more diversity and acceptance into the lineup.

Beach Socials and More
We come together every second month for our much-anticipated beach socials. These events are not just about surfing – they're about connection, empowerment, and having a blast. Our beach socials include a mix of ocean awareness discussions, surf lessons catered to all levels, invigorating surf and swim sessions, exciting beach games, mind-boggling trivia, and so much more. Whether you're an experienced surfer or someone who's never touched a board, Surf Proud offers an open-hearted community where you can learn, grow, and make lifelong friends.
